Mixx
Mixx, a competitor to Digg and Reddit that’s gaining ground, is now supported by Blern. Blern users with Mixx profiles can now allow Blern to use their Mixx activity to learn more about what they want to read.
Got a Mixx account?
Update your Blern profile now.
Friendfeed users: fear not. If your Friendfeed account is listed in your Blern profile, Blern will automatically incorporate your Mixx activity (provided you’ve also linked your Mixx account to your Friendfeed account).
MyBlogLog
MyBlogLog is also now supported for helping Blern learn about you. Add your MyBlogLog username to your Blern profile now.

This week I’ve added three new services thus far: Ma.gnolia, Photobucket and Amazon. Blern is smart enough to automatically find your Amazon Wishlist and incorporate what it learns into your recommendations. However, if you have a Photobucket or Ma.gnolia account, you’ll need to update those in your Blern Profile.
Got a service you’d like to see incorporated into Blern’s learning process? Let us know.

What’s going on in Blern-land? It might appear that not much is happening, but what’s really going on is a big rewrite of some of the behind-the-scenes functionality of Blern. There’s a few parts of Blern that aren’t visible to users that have been begging for a tune up so that’s where my attention has gone recently. However, I expect these changes to actually make it easier for Blern to support more new 3rd-party sites to learn from. So keep watching!
Oh yeah… In case you missed it, check out this highlight of Blern on shegeeks.net.

Bookmarklets are now available for marking articles to tell Blern to Show More or Show Less like them. Using these will allow you to tell Blern about your likes and dislikes even while you’re not reading articles on Blern. Check them out at the Blern tools page or below:

Here at Blern we love interoperability, for obvious reasons. So when Friendfeed implemented an API, well, it was too good to resist. So now at Blern when you mark a post as
Show More you’re given the option to share that link in your Friendfeed. Pretty nifty, eh?
